BMW Group supports FISU Beach Volleyball World University Championship as part of the 150th anniversary of the TU of Munich

The BMW Group will be the main sponsor of the FISU World University Beachvolleyball Championship.

The Central University Sports Munich (ZHS) has won a renowned partner. The BMW Group will be the main sponsor of the FISU World University Beachvolleyball Championship (9-13 July, TUM beach and tennis facilities, Olympiapark). "The fact that such a prestigious company supports us is an indication of the significance of the tournament because the BMW Group primarily sponsors high-quality sporting events," explains Michael Hahn, head of the ZHS.

In 2018, the Technical University of Munich, to which the ZHS belongs, will celebrate its 150th anniversary. In addition to an official ceremony with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, various activities are offered by the faculties. One of the main highlights is the student world cup. "In July, we will welcome the world's best 32 male and female student teams in Munich. I am very pleased that we can offer such a high-caliber top-class sporting event as part of the TUM anniversary, "says Hahn.

The championship will be held on the TUM beach volleyball facility and is therefore directly next to the BMW Welt. As part of the sponsorship, the BMW Group will be presenting individual models on the site. "Overall, the sponsoring will add a great deal of value. I think that together with our partner we will manage to organize an unforgettable sports event, "says Hahn.
